My comment about this drug
I used Dapoxetine to delay ejaculation, the dose of this drug 60mg cause me to ejaculate after too long this is not what i wanted, so I tried the other dose, which consisted 30mg and with this dose was wonder.
My doctor recommend to me don’t use Dapoxetine too often and say that I must lower the dose to 15mg. I don’t have side effects.
After few trials the man can make his own conclusion regarding what is the dose of Dapoxetine which helps him to achieve the best results.
SSRI medications
SSRIs are a widely known and prescribed antidepressant type, which can help a patient to get rid of depression.
SSRIs are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, are considered by the doctors as reliable medications to cope with moderate to severe depressive disorders. These antidepressants are safe and generally cause fewer side effects than other types of antidepressants. Our interest to these medications is not due to their direct medical purpose, but because of their special indication. They are often off-label prescribed for the treatment of premature ejaculation.
How do selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors work?
SSRIs influence chemical messengers known as neurotransmitters in the brain. These neurotransmitters promote communication between brain cells. SSRIs prevent the reabsorption of the neurotransmitter serotonin in the brain. According to the suggestions of the scientists and clinical experience SSRIs medications help to change the balance of serotonin which in its turn is expected to help brain cells send and receive chemical messages. SSRIs work selectively for serotonin, no other neurotransmitters.
Many assumptions were made by sex experts who think that low serotonin is responsible for the conditions leading to premature ejaculation. The actions of SSRIs help to increase the level of serotonin and improve the time to ejaculation.
SSRIs approved by the Food and Drug Administration to treat depression. Still no SSRI is approved for PE treatment.
Low serotonin and premature ejaculation. Natural and medical ways to boost serotonin level
Several clinical trials found that men with low serotonin (5HT) levels in the brain are more likely to suffer from premature ejaculation than men with its sufficient level. This is the reason why many doctors and sex experts agree that certain antidepressants, particularly selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors or SSRIs can actually help men with early ejaculation. These drugs are used to treat depressive disorders in both men and women, but they often have sexual side effects such as delay in orgasm. Many men who suffer from premature ejaculation take SSRI antidepressants which increase serotonin levels in the brain to prolong time to their ejaculation. Before taking any medication it is absolutely necessary to consult a doctor to be sure that this medication will not harm your health and worsen your condition.
The other way to cure premature ejaculation is to increase serotonin levels naturally and use special techniques to get more control over ejaculation.
The natural way to boost serotonin levels includes a diet full of foods that contain B-vitamins, Calcium, Magnesium, Tryptophan, Omega 3, Gamma-Linolenic Acid which are great for increasing serotonin levels. The products rich in the mentioned vitamins and minerals are: brown rice, chicken, corn, eggs, green leafs, legumes, meat, nuts, peas, sunflower seeds, nutritional yeast, almonds, brewer’s yeast, cruciferous vegetables, fish with bones, sesame seeds, tofu, shrimp, salmon, turkey, soy products, peanuts, fish oil, walnut oil, tuna, flax oil, canola oil, chicken, grape seed oil, safflower oil, sunflower oil, wheat germ oil, black current oil, borage oil.
Some products reduce the level of serotonin in the brain. These products are: caffeine, refined carbohydrates, chocolate, sugar, alcohol, street drugs, diet pills, and tobacco.
Drugs by nasal inhalation to treat PE
A nose spray treatment for premature ejaculation was first appeared in Britain at the end of 2008. A company producing a nose spray used advertisement hoardings to push their product. New treatment method for early ejaculation immediately caused a lot of discussion.
First of all the new treatment method was not new by itself- it used medications available for PE before, but the method of usage was different: the idea was to deliver the drug into the bloodstream more quickly in comparison with usual taking it orally.
The medication used in the spray was clomipramine – an antidepressant with the pharmacological properties to inhibit reuptake of serotonin in CNS.
Next year some sex clinics proposed to use medication tramadol in a nose spray. Tramadol is a narcotil-like pain reliever used to treat moderate to severe pain. The reason why sex experts consider this medication for the treatment of PE remains unknown. Tramadol is often used by people addicted to other narcotic medications such as morphine. So the use of this drug for patients with PE is not a good idea.
Fortunately there is an effective treatment method for premature ejaculation problem- Priligy (Dapoxetine) which causes practically no side effects. Dapoxetine is trusted by the doctors and patients and is most often prescribed for PE.
Premature Ejaculation: Main Causes
Premature ejaculation is men’s most spread sexual disorder. The researchers from Chicago University have held a special study to this sex problem among men. They studies 2,865 men, in the age from 18 to 85. The results of the study demonstrated that men in the age from 18 to 59, experience PE more frequently than erectile dysfunction, among men older 60-65 years of age 25 % of men still have an early ejaculation problem. In the issue, experts think that PE is men’s number one sexual dysfunction. The following numbers showcase the seriousness of the problem:
Erectile difficulties in men:
in the age of 18-29: 7 % of men have ED;
in the age of 30-39: 9 %
in the age of 40-49: 11 %
in the age of 50-59: 18 %
in the age of 57-64: 31 %
in the age of 65-74: 45 %
in the age of 75-85: 43 %
Premature Ejaculation in men:
in the age of 18-29: 30 %
in the age of 30-39: 32 %
in the age of 40-49: 28 %
in the age of 50-59: 31 %
in the age of 57-64: 30 %
in the age of 65-74: 28 %
in the age of 75-85: 22 %
According to many authors PE has two main causes: youth and pornography available to everyone per internet and means of communication. Adolescent and young men nervous systems are extremely emotional and sensitive. Young men do not know anything about sex and sexual relationships so they often are overexcited and ejaculate too early. The nervousness between sex in young men leads to anxiety, which makes the nervous system even more overexcited and inclinde to PE. Premature ejaculation in younger men often goes into a conditioned reflex with lifetime duration.
Unfortunately, pornography is nowadays main means of learning of how to have sex for men. Pornography harms sexual relationships and gives men the wrong idea about what sex is. Men cease to understand what a good sex is, women complain that men do not know how to have sex.
Porn employs only a genital area. This means that feelings and emotional are not involved in this instinctive behavior. So the penis reacts quickly with early ejaculation before the necessary time. Pornography style of sex increases the chance for PE and if PE does exist the porn style of sex makes PE even worse.
Premature ejaculation principles
PE is a widely spread problem that affects men of different ages. This condition is more common in young adults and males with little sexual experience. Some males think that it will disappear with more sexual experience. Some seek help, some prefer self care methods. Still this condition requires consideration to find the cause and the proper treatment.
The processes behind rapid ejaculation help understand the causes and effects of this condition. The nervous system consists of two main parts- simpatic and parasimpatic. The first part monitors a great variety of processes, contacts and factors that a person encounters in certain situations.
With the help of adrenaline the simpatic system monitors the protection of a person’s revelations when coping with such feelings as stress, worries, concerns, fear, anger, threat and others. PE may be a result from the stress of getting a STD (sexually transmitted disease), by worries about a probability of pregnancy and others.
In fact, when coping with stress, concerns, threats and fear a male encounters a premature ejaculation condition.
The parasimpatic system regulates the erectile process and controls the climax. It can respond naturally by producing normal sexual response to the stimulation or it can lead to such problems as premature ejaculation, low libido and erectile dysfunction.
What is ejaculation?
Ejaculation is the emission of semen which consists of sperm and special fluid from the reproductory tract of a man. In healthy males ejaculation process usually occurs with an orgasm. Ejaculations may be uncontrolled and happen during sleep, in healthy men morning erections may end with ejaculations.
The fluid ejaculated by a person consists of water, semen (a milky substance) and other fluids. The semen comes from the seminal vesicles and the prostate.
The semen from the prostate provides it with special smell.
During an orgasm a healthy male produces 1 -5 ml of semen. An ejaculation can proceed up to 3 feet. Still most men ejaculate on the distance from 17 to 25 cm. before ejaculation 1-2 drops of alkaline fluid comes from the Cowper’s glands near the prostate.
PE leads to ED
According to many studies anxiety is closely associated with premature ejaculation. With time anxiety transforms into depression, which in itself is a psychological cause of erectile dysfunction.
The authors of many studies come to the conclusion that premature ejaculation may lead to erectile dysfunction in the same way as anxiety leads to depression. That is why PE should be properly treated to avoid other sexual disorders as consequences.
Premature ejaculation and depression are directly associated. Premature ejaculation can lead to erectile dysfunction and vice versa. Finding out the cause and effect association between PE and ED is of significant clinical concern determining the proper treatment.
Certain practices recommend a patient with premature ejaculation to try to delay orgasm through distraction method. A patient should be distracted from sex to other nonsexual things like work, sport in order to delay the time to ejaculation. Some sexologists consider this method nonproductive and even negative giving a man and his partner unpleasant feelings while having sex. Besides, this method forces a person to lose erotic stimulus. Finally, over the time, this and other methods of getting more control over orgasm and time to ejaculation lead to the development of impotence in men.
Certain studies of the patients with ED and PE have demonstrated that the main mechanism of neurotransmitter action for both conditions is similar. In addition, many studies have shown that anxiety and premature ejaculation are correlated. Anxiety transforms into depression, which leads to erectile problems.
PE illusions and facts
Illusion: Premature ejaculation is a disease.
The fact is Premature ejaculation is not a disease or ailment, this medical condition is diagnosed by a medical professional, but it is very hard or even impossible to say what is the real reason why this condition occurs.
Illusion: If a male thinks of something abstract during sex he can prolong sexual intercourse.
The fact is that it is necessary to be more attentive to your body and its proper function. The method used to get more control over ejaculation is called distraction, it may work for some males, but for most this method is not a cure-all. Besides it distracts a person from sexual activity and delight from sex.
Illusion: Some men are born with a natural ability to control ejaculation, others are born without it.
The fact is that no man is born with a capacity to regulate ejaculation. During puberty when a young man obtains his first sexual experience or masturbates he learns how to control ejaculation. This experience determines a character of a man’s sexual response and how ability to control his ejaculation process.
Illusion: If a person ejaculates within a few minutes or less he suffers from premature ejaculation.
The fact is that premature ejaculation as a medical condition is not defined with a time limit. While some males ejaculate within a minute, but satisfy their partners and achieve an orgasm, others last longer but are not happy with their sexual life and cannot control their ejaculation.
Illusion: Premature ejaculation is a very rare condition.
The fact is Premature ejaculation is one of the most frequent male sexual disorders. The National Health and Social Life Survey says that about 30% or more men suffer from premature ejaculation. Men often think that PE is uncommon simply because no man wishes to share this problem with others.
Illusion: Premature ejaculation condition cannot be corrected, it remains in this or that form during the whole life of a man.
The fact is PE can be successfully treated. There are lots of effective treatments of this condition. One of the most effective treatments is Dapoxetine- a medication used to treat even severe forms of PE.
Penis spray for Premature Ejaculation condition
Recent research has demonstrated that men with premature ejaculation can be helped with a new desensitizing spray used locally. The main principle of the treatment is making the penis less sensitive and thus delaying ejaculation.
It is well known that countless number of men of different ages suffer from premature ejaculation so using such locally used sprays or creams may be a real help for them and their partners.
The spray has just completed a phase 3 clinical trials, the results of the trials show that spray desensitizes certain cells of the penis and helps to get more control over ejaculation. The other positive Priligy characteristic of spray effects is that the medication does not reduce the pleasure of sex. Besides, the new treatment can be administered about 5 minutes before sexual activity.
The name of the spray is PSD502; it was checked in a controlled study involving more than 300 participants suffering from premature ejaculation. It was estimated that patients in the beginning of the study ejaculated in 0.6 minutes. The 50 % of men were administered the spray PSD502 and the other 50 % were given a placebo spray. The group receiving spray had improvement up to 4 minutes.
